Spirit of France
 8th August 2008 Order Placed.
 13th May 2010 It was announced that the new ships would be named Spirit of Britain and Spirit of France. Spirit of Britain was expected to enter service in January 2011 followed by Spirit of France in September 2011. Spirit of France was originally to be called Olympic Pride, but was renamed to avoid copyright infringement.
 8th June 2010 On the same day as the float out of the Spirit of Britain, the keel of Spirit of France was laid at the STX Europe shipyard in Rauma, Finland. In keeping with maritime tradition `lucky' coins were placed under the keel by P&O Ferries chairman, Robert Woods.
 18th February 2011 Floated out of the building dock at STX Europe's Rauma shipyard for the first time in sub zero temperatures and manoeuvred to the fitting out quay.
 29th June 2011 Departed STX Rauma for her first sea trials in the Gulf of Bothnia.
 17th November 2011 Reported that P&O Ferries had refused delivery due to vibration issues.
 28th November 2011 During a storm the vessel parted her moorings and ran aground within the shipyard. The vessel was dry docked and damage was deemed to be negligible.
 24th January 2012 Official handover to P&O Ferries and departed Rauma for Dover, UK.
 28th January 2012 Arrived in Dover at 11am.

 30th January 2012 Berthing trials in Calais
 9th February 2012 Maiden passenger voyage from Dover at 12:05, the ship had previous done a single freight only sailing the day before.
 19th December 2013 Stood down from service for refit in Dunkerque.
 2nd January 2014 Departed Dunkerque and resumed service.
 29th June 2015 Having been prevented from docking in Calais due to industrial action, the ship returned to Dover and berthed bow in so passengers could disembark. The ship then departed Dover for anchorage.
 30th June 2015 Due to the ongoing industrial action the ship sailed to Boulogne for berthing trials.
 2nd July 2015 Normal service resumed.
 19th December 2015 Stood down from service for refit in Vlissingen.
 27th December 2015 Resumed normal service.
 26th December 2016 Stood down from service for refit in Dunkerque.
 13th January 2017 Resumed normal service.
 15th January 2019 Arriving at the Blohm & Voss shipyard, Hamburg for overhaul.
 26th January 2019 Back in service between Dover & Calais, also reflagged to Limassol in Cyprus.
